A Digital Option for Tennessee Pesticide Applicator Credentials

14 Sep 2026 9:49 AM | Anonymous

Keeping up with licenses and certifications is part of doing business, and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA) has introduced a new option to make that process a little easier for pesticide applicators.

TDA has launched Digital Pesticide Applicator Cards, allowing eligible applicators to add their current licenses, certifications and solicitor cards to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Instead of keeping track of a physical card, applicators can now have their active credentials readily available on their mobile device.

The digital card displays all active licenses and certifications associated with the cardholder, giving applicators a quick way to access their credential information when they are in the field, on a job site or otherwise need to verify their status.

The new service is available through the official Tennessee State Government app, the MyTN mobile app. The app may be installed from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

The digital card is part of TDA’s broader effort to make agency services more convenient and easier for Tennesseans to use. For pesticide professionals, that means fewer items to keep track of and another way to have important credential information close at hand.

Getting Started

Eligible applicators can follow TDA’s step-by-step guide to set up the MyTN app, locate their applicator record and add their digital card to their preferred mobile wallet.

For the easiest record match, applicators should use the same email address and phone number associated with their pesticide record.

One thing to keep in mind: Aerial applicator cards are not included in the initial digital card launch. TDA expects those cards to become available in a future update.

For Tennessee pesticide applicators, the new digital card provides another simple, convenient way to keep track of active credentials—and one less physical card to worry about carrying.
